Team Pottery

Hey, bestie!

Here’s what’s inside the Starter Kit:

  • 1 TOOLBOX TEMPLATE

  • 1 WALL ALTAR TEMPLATE

  • 3 BEGINNER COURSES

  • 1 MATERIALS LIST

  • 0 HANGOVERS

The Toolbox is a box for your tools, made by you. The Wall Altar is purely decorative, for keeping or giving away. The courses cover the basics: prepping your template, rolling and cutting, making slip and your own sandbag.

27,90 € / No Subscription

Fair.

but hear
us out.

A night out is fun.

But by Sunday morning, all that’s left is a blurry photo, possibly a sore throat and a bar receipt you’d rather not look at.

now picture this: Music on, phone in another room, mind totally at ease.

And starting Pottery is more affordable than you think.

Good to
Know

Is this a box that comes in the mail?

Nope. The Studio Starter Kit is fully digital. You print the templates at home and watch the courses whenever you like.

I’ve never touched clay. Is this for me?

That’s perfect. You’re exactly who we made this for.

What’s the difference from the Club?

The Starter Kit gets you started. The No-Drama Club includes everything in the Starter Kit, plus a brand-new project every month and every video and course in one place. Plus extra guided projects for even more creative outlets. Torn between the two? Get the Club. For the first year, it’s just 30,00 € more than the Starter Kit (founding price).

How long can I watch the videos?

For as long as YouTube is around. The templates and the materials list are yours to keep forever. The videos are exclusive to the kit and not openly available on the internet.

What else do I need?

Clay, a wooden work board and two guide sticks. Everything else is probably in your kitchen already: a wooden rolling pin, a kitchen knife, a fork or toothbrush, an old credit card, a sponge and a bowl of water, and some plastic bags.

Do I need a kiln?

No. Both projects work with air-dry or kiln-fired clay.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay 27,90 € once, and that’s it.

I might know someone who would be interested in this. Can I give it as a gift?

Absolutely. For anyone who keeps saying “I should really try pottery.” Including yourself! Include a little note in your order (there’s a form field for that) and we’ll send it right to the happy new potter.

SO WHICH
CLAY DO I BUY?

Most air-dry clay is ‘meh’.
Here’s how you spot the good ones:

We always use real clay. Apparently that’s a hot take. We stand by it. Most of what’s sold as air-dry clay is modelling compound: it looks like clay in the bag and stops behaving like it the moment you try to join two slabs. It can also come with preservatives that tend to bother skin.

Real clay firms up, takes slip and dries into something that looks like ceramics, not like craft hour.

THE 10-SECOND CHECK
BEFORE YOU BUY:

  • Kiln firing range on the pack or a cone number: it’s clay. Buy it.

  • No firing info, or a ‘do not fire’ warning: it’s modelling compound. Leave it.

  • Ingredient list? The shorter, the better.

Search for ‘pottery clay’, or air-dry clay that can also be kiln-fired. And if a kiln shows up in your life later, the same clay goes straight in. Nothing you learn here goes to waste.
