anyone can do it!

Whether you're a "wait, which end of the rolling pin do I use?" beginner or a total pro – we create templates that make slab building ridiculously fun and totally accessible.

Air-dry clay or kiln-firing? Your call. Our templates work with whatever you’re working with.

No fancy equipment required – just you, some clay, some tools and some stuff you can literally steal from your kitchen.

why use paper templates?

so, you want to make beautiful things. not waste time figuring out how!

  1. Same shape, every time. Make a matching set or a hundred – they'll always look like they belong together.

  2. Print once, use forever. Your templates are yours to keep and reuse as much as you like.

  3. Skip the measuring, start the making. Templates give you a head start so you can focus on what matters.

  4. Your size, your call. Scale up or down – just resize before printing or adjust on the go.

About us

Femke's pottery journey started with a spinning wheel fantasy (think Molly and Sam). Rosalia grew up building ceramics with her mum in Spain and knew better.

They met working together at advertising agency Frida von Fuchs, bonded over design, and ended up building a clay club together.

Rosalia brings the craft heritage. Femke brings the beginner's perspective. Between the two of them, they've figured out how to make slab building feel like something anyone can actually do.

No wheel.
No third grade art class vibe.
Just really good projects and a great time.

The Burning Questions

Do I need any experience to join?

Hard no. Clay Slab Club was built for people who have zero to very little experience. (Hi, that was us once too!) Every project comes with a full video walkthrough — and if you want, you can even follow our glazing and deco ideas. Zero "figure it out on your own" moments.

Who decides which templates come each month?

We do. Every template is designed with a specific technique, a clear aesthetic, and an "oh I actually want to make that" factor in mind. We think about curating a whole collection for you, not just individual pieces.

What equipment do I need?

Way less than you’d think. We put together a free Home Tool Kit guide with a complete shopping list. Grab a few things from your kitchen drawers, pick up some tools and clay from your local craft store, and you're good to go!

Do I need a kiln?

Nope! That's literally why we have two different memberships: Air and Fire. No kiln, no drama! You can totally make really fancy decorative stuff with air dry clay. Just keep in mind that your pieces won't be fully waterproof or food safe though. If you want to make kitchen and tableware, a quick Google search for a local studio or ceramics shop will do the trick — they'll most likely have a firing service or know someone who does.

Still not sure? We've answered everything we could think of on our [FAQ page]. And if your question isn't there — pop us a line!

Is this actually for me?

If you've made it this far down this page, something clicked. Maybe it's the idea of making something beautiful with your own hands. Maybe it's the thought of a Sunday afternoon with some clay, a good playlist, and zero pressure. Maybe you just really want that perfect mug. Whatever brought you here — we think you're exactly the kind of person this was made for. Come on in

Can I suggest or request a template?

Yes! And we genuinely love it when you do. We can't promise every idea makes the cut, but member input really does shape what we create. Slide into our inbox anytime!
